So what exactly is Google My Business?

Google My Business is a free and easy-to-use tool for businesses and organizations to manage their online presence across Google, including Search and Maps. By maintaining and monitoring your GMB listing you’ll also be able to reply to customer reviews.

GMB is a powerful tool that allows your business name to appear at the top of searches. When somebody searches your business name, your GMB listing will appear next to the top search results. This will display all of your business information in a clear, easy-to-read format.

How do I set up my Google My Business page?

Simply create a Google account or sign in with your existing account. We always recommend creating a separate Google account primarily for your business and leaving your personal one for yourself. It’s best to configure your new Google account with a generic business email address, such as or

Be sure to include all relevant information to your business, including street address, website, phone number, email address, hours, logo and a few photos. It’s important that your information is consistent across all of your platforms (for example your Facebook page, Google listing, Website).

So I’m all set, now what?

Great! It’s time to promote your business and build reviews. Google Reviews are an important way to build trust with potential customers. Take some time to compile a “review email” template and distribute it to your existing customer base, requesting them to review your products or services.
